Social Worker


Due to the planned growth of GHA over the next 12 months, we are looking for a new Social Worker to join our team.

What Are We Looking For?

We think our model of care is unique and special, so we’re looking for a Social Worker with similar attributes. You are passionate about improving the lives of people living with dementia and their families. Pursuing excellence on behalf of those in your care is of paramount importance. You would use your social work and counsellor knowledge to form relationships with resident’s families and team members, and to support families through the changing needs of their loved one.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members and external stakeholders
  • To be highly motivated and able to take initiative
  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet)
  • To be highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Solution focussed – excellent problem-solving skills, including critical thinking

Experience (desirable)

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Social Worker (required)
  • Experience in caring for residents with a diagnosis of Dementia (desirable)
  • Experience in supporting a resident and their family through palliation (desirable)
  • Clinical experience as a social worker within the aged care sector (desirable)

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor of Social Work/ Counselling and eligibility to register with relevant professional association
  • Current NSW drivers’ licence

The salary offered for full-time positions starts from $85,000

Business Development Manager


GHA is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated business development manager to join our team. We are a private and independent Australian-owned organisation offering a unique model of care to people living with dementia. Our model consists of thoughtfully designed traditional homes integrated within the community across a range of suburbs in Sydney. Each home has up to 10 residents living together, participating in day-to-day activities, supported with 24/7 care provided by our Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Homemakers.

Position: Business Development Manager – Medical
Location: Sydney
Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Promote GHA’s unique model of care to medical referrers including GPs, specialists, hospitals, clinics, and other related medical facilities
  • Conduct presentations and home tours to educate healthcare professionals about GHA
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective engagement strategies
  • Attend medical conferences, trade shows, and events to represent the company and network with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry
  • Organise training days for our medical clients to support their own work with people living with dementia
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and activities using our CRM software
  • Adhere to company policies and compliance standards while conducting all activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in medical or pharmaceutical sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Dementia knowledge is an advantage
  • A valid driver’s licence and ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven individual
  • Ethical and responsible conduct in compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Homemaker (Traditionally Called AIN)


Our Homemakers support our residents to engage in life. That can be from the minute a resident wakes up in the morning to supporting any small or large decisions the resident will make throughout the day. Encouraging the residents to be involved in cooking, gardening, shopping, and adapting to day-to-day activities so that our residents living with dementia can focus on what they are able to do, rather than what they can no longer do. The Homemakers’ curiosity and ability to explore what makes a resident flourish is what makes them so special.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Engaging with our residents and providing gentle, warm and genuine care
  • Delivering personal daily care needs such as showering, dressing and meal preparation
  • Assisting with general housework including cleaning and laundry
  • Finding creative approaches to delivering personalised dementia care
  • Participating and supporting residents on community outings

We require candidates to work full time hours.

Locations include: North Shore, Sutherland Shire, Hunters Hill and Eastern Suburbs.

Appropriate qualifications are required.

Registered Nurse

 

Due to the planned growth of GHA over the next 12 months, we are looking for Registered Nurses for weekday and weekend shifts as well as overnight telehealth.

What Are We Looking For?

Our model of care is unique and special, so we’re looking for a Registered Nurse with similar attributes. It’s likely you’ve worked in the dementia care field for some time and feel that there is room for improvement. You are passionate about improving the lives of people with dementia and helping them to thrive beyond a dementia diagnosis. Pursuing excellence on behalf of those in your care is of paramount importance.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be comfortable working autonomously and being part of a team in a culture that encourages high performance
  • Have a current AHPRA registration
  • Be self-motivated and flexible
  • Have a current, unrestricted drivers’ license and own a reliable car
  • Have the necessary visa and/or working rights in Australia
