Dementia Care in the Hills District
The Hills District is located within the north-western part of Sydney and encompasses a large grouping of suburbs. The region is home to the popular Castle Towers Shopping Centre, along with enjoying numerous parklands and a close proximity to bushland and low-density living. The Hills District is home to a close-knit community which we are proud to be part of.
The Group Homes Australia model is firmly built on the belief that people can thrive in a home environment. Traditional and beautiful homes, on traditional suburban streets around Australia, where 6 to 10 residents live together. Residents have 24-hour support including dementia care, palliative and respite care, which is provided by a team of care staff that we call Homemakers.

“This is one of the best models of dementia care in an assisted environment that I’ve seen”
Ita Buttrose AO OBE
National Ambassador of Dementia Australia
The group home environment
Our group homes have 6-10 residents with 24/7 dedicated care.
Our innovative model of care is an alternative to traditional aged care facilities. Smaller care environments have been proven to increase quality of life, reduce rates of depression and reduce hospitalisation for people living with dementia, making ours some of the best facilities for dementia care Sydney.

Meaningful Engagement
Our Homemakers and Support Team work with each resident and their family to ensure their unique needs are met.

Complex Care Needs
We have various levels of care to accommodate the entire ageing and dementia journey.

Tailored Routines
Unlike residential aged care facilities, we don’t have rigid schedules. Residents wake up in their own time, set their own meal times and have visitors when they want.

Higher Care Ratio
We offer a high care ratio of an average 1:4 team members per resident which is better than most traditional aged care facilities.

Superior Health Outcomes
Research shows that health outcomes in smaller environments are superior to traditional nursing homes.

Feels Like Home
Our homes are warm and open with the familiar atmosphere of a traditional home.
