We love the Group Homes model and we truly value the level of care and engagement the Homemakers have with our loved one and all the other residents at Carrington. Our mum has flourished in her time at Carrington and while we acknowledge dementia is a life-limiting condition, she is currently ‘living her best life’ where she is valued for what she brings to the home (her caring personality, her willingness to help with daily chores etc) and is able to go on outings to various locations that she enjoyed in the area she grew up in (eastern suburbs beaches, Centennial Park). We regularly sing the praises of GHA but note the cost is a factor that means not everyone is able to access such high-quality care. Thank you for caring for our beautiful mum.
