Flex Stay: Winter Offer

For those needing 24/7 supervision and care, our Flexible Respite is available in 23 homes across Sydney. With a 1:4 ratio of Homemakers to Residents during the day, overnight supervision, clinical care and social worker support, we provide comprehensive support and education for families. Whether you need overnight respite care, a break for a day or up to eight weeks, our services are designed to accommodate your needs and schedule.

Flex R&R: Winter Offer

For those seeking a break from daily routines and a chance to socialise, R&R offers the perfect blend of engaging social activities and community interaction. R&R not only focuses on socialisation, but also on educating you and your support network (family & friends) to adapt to life’s changes and supporting your return home. For R&R guests who are living with dementia, staying 5 days or more comes with a personalised Rementia Plan, a documented record of nine observational areas tailored to you, with suggestions for ‘cognitive ramps’ to implement at home. While dementia means ‘away from the mind,’ Rementia means ‘return to the mind.’ Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge to live well at home.

R&R is held in our Castle Hill home. With our R&R experience-led itinerary you can enjoy visits to art galleries, theatre, restaurants, bushwalks and of course plenty of nutritious meals and rest. You can relax knowing that your loved one receives support from skilled carers. Plus, you can use government funding if available and we also welcome people paying privately.

Funding your Flexible Respite

You can fund your Flexible Respite with us in three ways:

1. HCP Unspent funds – as we are a Home Care Provider, you can use your Unspent Funds to pay for some or all of your respite.
2. NDIS Short Term Accommodation (only for Flex Stay and Flex Trial).
3. Private Pay – you can pay privately.

Flexible Short Stay Eligibility Assessment

To assess eligibility and allow us to determine the best GHA home and type of stay, an in-person assessment is required prior to any short stay. This initial assessment may happen in person at the residents home or online. The purpose of the assessment is to build a relationship, learn about the Resident and their family’s life and what makes them unique, as well as gather an understanding of their care needs. The information from the assessment informs our Homemakers to be able to welcome the new resident and their family to their new home. Connecting residents within the home so they can benefit from the social and positive engagement with one another will depend on who you are as an individual.
