The staff and support services at the Killeaton home are truly outstanding. It has been a great comfort to be able to leave a loved one in their care, knowing and seeing that they are well looked after. The staff are knowledgeable, organised and professional. They proactively keep us updated on how things are going and raise any concerns promptly. The staff are all well trained and genuinely care about the health and well-being of each of the residents. Most of the same staff are on rotation and they all come to know each resident well. The support services offered to the family during this difficult journey have been invaluable as well. The house itself is very nicely fitted, it has very pleasant indoor and outdoor areas for the residents and families to enjoy
My mother is living in a GHA house in Wahroonga. The house is lovely, the staff are excellent - caring, gentle, kind and efficient. Although mum would love to still be living independently, this is the next best thing. Thank you GHA
Exceptional loving family-like personalised multidisciplinary care for those you love the most. GHA has a wonderful innovative model of care that’s the way of the future for superlative aged care. Thank you to all the team.
We are so blessed that we were able to find such a wonderfully caring home for our brother. The staff are so patient, encouraging him to participate in the activities when he is able but understanding when he needs a break. There are a variety of activities organised and regular outings. It is really a family atmosphere.
Highly recommend Group Homes if looking for a caring environment for your loved one. Residents are encourage to participate in everyday activities as well as being keep active through outings and social activities through the home. The staff are wonderful and treat residents as if they were their own family members. Staff always advise if there have been any incidents and provide helpful advice and encouragement for residents.
Group Homes Irrubel has the most wonderful, caring staff anyone could hope for to look after their family members who are unable to live at home. This modern & spacious facility is purpose built for the comfort of its residents and provides fresh home cooked meals, activities and outings to suit all. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Irrubel and would definitely recommend Group Homes Australia. Thank you Lyn
We could not ask for better facilities or more caring and capable staff. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found a vacancy at GHA in our time of need. We are grateful for everything they do on a daily basis for our loved one and would recommend this company to anyone requiring dementia respite or long term living solutions for a family member
The house is always clean and bright, the friendly, caring staff work hard to give the residents a home-like and safe living space, with exceptional individual care that is not reliant on arbitrary routines. They communicate well when we personally visit and kept us informed with regular updates and tons of photos via Whatsapp during the lockdowns. Truly exceptional!
My mother Anna was in respite for 21days at the Rose Bay home. The staff and management were so caring, respectful , compassionate and understanding. The care of my mother was so excellent that this model of care should be the standard for all age care facilities. I highly recommend Group Homes as this care is so personal and feels just like home. Thank you so much Group Homes for giving us a more ideal alternative to main stream age care.😊
My mum has Alzheimers and I needed to get her into respite, I was not disappointed with GHA Vaucluse. From the moment mum entered to the moment she left she was treated as part of the family. She went on bus trips nearly everyday, assisted with cooking, joined in all the activities but her favourite was the music afternoons where she showed off her dancing and piano skills. Daily photos to the family were evidence mum was very well cared for. Mum has returned home happy and healthy, I can't wait for mum to return and meet up with her new friends again. Thank you GHA from all the heart!
Our father has been in care at Fairlawn for a year now and we are very happy with the level of care he is receiving there. It was a very difficult decision to put Dad into care however he could not be in a better place. The homemaker staff have been brilliant with Dad and spoil him rotten. Fairlawn is the right place for a wonderful man who has given so much to so many throughout his wonderful life.
Group Homes Australia and Fairlawn House is absolutely wonderful. Everyone that works for this organization is kind, caring and thoughtful. The care taken with our loved one is above and beyond. It is one of the hardest decisions to move a loved one into care but this is the best possible place we could have moved her. From the bottom of our hearts, we can’t thank them enough and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a Group Home setting.
My beloved sister has been brilliantly looked after at Garrick for several years now and they just keep excelling themselves in the care provided. This Covid-bound Christmas the staff are ensuring families have as much close contact (visits or FaceTime) as possible -- even to the extent of sending us Zoom links to join in their Christmas lunch party ! The Homemakers (never dressed like nursing staff, more like very friendly nieces and nephews) care for their residents extra lovingly and send us daily photos and updates on my sister's activities and health. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are superb. Susie O.
I was despondent looking for dementia care for my mother when exclusively consulting the government website. When visiting facilities, I was sad and angry to find that the dementia residents were always stuck in the dark spaces, the neglected areas, the seemingly unloved holes in the nursing homes. At one place the bond was 250,000 less for those suffering dementia. When I inquired why, I was shocked at the answer: "Well, there's not much we can do for them". Not listed in the government website, I fortuitously came across Group Home. Specially designed for those with dementia and high needs, it was a welcome discovery. Bright, airy, and comfortable, it could have be mistaken for a normal, lovely home. With multiple generous living spaces and two outdoor areas, the residents are free to wander and settle where they want with the security of the staff's watchful eyes. The staff are beautiful in heart as well as trained to make the residents lives purposeful and happy. Although as a loving daughter, my mother's dementia was a an emotional challenge, Group Homes more often than not became my happy place - a place I was able to enjoy my mother and develop warm relationships with the staff and other families. Sadly, my mother succumbed to the disease, but in her final week she was treated with extra attentiveness, respect and love, as were myself and my brother. If I believed in angels I would say Group Homes was the angel sent to us in our toughest time. Thank you Group Homes.
After the death of my father, my Mum was fortunate enough to move to Group Homes in Rose Bay. A beautiful environment under the care of an amazing team of wonderful, loving home makers. Mum was happy there and the freedom for the family to come and go and be part of the daily life at the home made such a difference to the quality of Mum's life and the time we got to spend with her. The way Group Homes welcomed Mum home from hospital for her last days was the most compassionate act of kindness and we will be forever grateful.I would highly recommend Group Homes to anyone looking for the very best aged care available.
